The fact of the matter is, I needed to take a break from writing. I wasn't feeling the inspiration to write out my latest recipe, wedding planning update, or recent happening as of late. And that's okay! Because I am back at it for now.
I cannot promise you all what the outlook will be as far as my regular posting in the near future because...I am moving! In less than 3 weeks from now! Moving away from the only home state and only hometown I have ever known. Luckily it is for good reason--Wade has been given the chance to transfer within his company to another office in Austin, TX and I'm coming along with him. Because this long distance relationship thing has been fun and all (HA!) but I'd much rather be living in the same city as my husband-to-be.
Oh, and I must thank you all for the birthday wishes on my last post way back at the beginning of May! It was a great birthday week (because, remember, I celebrate birthday WEEKS) and there have been lots of fun things going on ever since then. It is not going to be easy to sum up a little over a month of happenings in one blog post, so I thought I'd make it easier by using this "Currently" post idea I saw over on Hillary's blog, Nutrition Nut on the Run. Thanks for the inspiration, Hillary!
I'm warning you ahead of time, this is going to be a picture-heavy post.
This bread recipe from Ambitious Kitchen soon. I want to start experimenting more with coconut flour. And you can't go wrong with banana bread.
A bunch of food for a recent party held at my mother and I's house. With 10 people in the house at one time, it felt a bit overwhelming since my mother and I had been getting used to just the two of us. But the company was great and the food was even better!
All the Bai drinks. I recently first tried a couple of these drinks after purchasing them at Target and I was HOOKED. There is not one flavor yet that has not appealed to me.
The Autoimmune Solution by Dr. Amy Myers. It's been a good read so far as I'm always up for a new take on a nutrition or health topic.
To go see my name on the University of Arkansas sidewalk again. My university engraves EVERY graduate's name on it's sidewalks all over campus when we finish our degrees. My university is cooler than your university...just sayin'.
Forward to starting my new job in Austin. I accepted a job this past week and "grateful" doesn't even begin to cover it for the thoughts I was sending out into the Universe after that phone call with the job offer! I don't want to disclose to many details, but I will be working at a clinic that focuses primarily on functional medicine and holistic health.
Playing
This song on repeat. Can't stop, won't stop.
A lot of time on Netflix lately. I just finished up The Vampire Diaries. I really want to move on to a new series now but there are so many series Wade and I are waiting to watch together once we get settled in Austin. That's alright, though, because the next season of Orange is the New Black is coming out tomorrow! Commence the binge watching.
Wishing
Teleportation machines were invented so I did not have to think about making that loooonnng drive to Austin soon. 11 hours. I might lose my mind.
Enjoying
Bingo and beer nights at a local brewery. Bike Rack Brewery in Bentonville recently started these bingo and beer nights every Monday and I invited my good buddy, Ally, to go along with me this past Monday. I didn't even win a single round of bingo but I must go back next Monday! Ally and I had a fantastic time and I actually managed to find an excellent beer to enjoy, a cherry saison.
On many things. Honestly, I've always felt like I'm one of those people who have a hard time brushing off this feeling of "waiting" constantly in my life. I have gotten noticeably better in the past year on taking a second to just appreciate the here and now and telling myself to stop worrying about the next year, the next month, the next day, etc. I'm working on it and have begun to appreciate living in the moment.
Liking
The cute packaging on this box of nakd bars that was recently sent over to me from the kind folks of Natural Balance Foods. 13 different flavors to try--all gluten, wheat, and dairy free!
What my life will look like in 5 years. I guess it's the anticipation of moving, but I'm feeling oddly imaginative and thoughtful about what the coming years will hold.
Loving
My sweet, caring, kind, wonderful mother. She is one of my best friends and I will miss her dearly when I leave. She just learned how to use Google Hangouts to video chat with me, so there will be many dates of video chatting with her in the future once I move!
Hoping
To make some money on a garage sale my mother and I are holding at her house this weekend. Garage sales are work, guys. I feel like I deserve to get paid, that's for sure.
Marveling
At Wade and I's engagement pictures. Yes, I'm allowed to marvel, they are stunning! All thanks to the wonderful photographer, Stephanie from Stephanie Dawn Photography. If you are in the Northwest Arkansas area and looking for a fantastic and friendly photographer, she's your gal. Here are just a few of my favorites. Oh, and my new profile picture over on the right sidebar there>>>>that was one of the pictures from our shoot. I love it! I love them all!
More pistachios. I've been snacking on pistachios like nobody's business lately.
Smelling
The hot and humid air of Arkansas in the Summer...And boy has the humidity moved in. We had so much rain in our state for the month of May. I'm talking record amounts. And now the rain has stopped and everything is so sticky. I like warmer temperatures but I would like to enjoy the Summer with less humidity so my clothes don't feel like they are becoming suctioned to my skin.
Wearing
My new laboradorite necklace. Laboradorite gemstone is known for enhancing intuitive and mental abilities and is used to protect from negativity in one's life. This is the picture from the Etsy shop where I located my new little gem. The wire is rose gold which matches my engagement ring. Though it's a very small gem, I like the fact that it's a dainty necklace I can wear with many different outfits. It was money well spent.
The difference in my arms lately since I have been working on my upper body strength. I'm growing noticeable muscles. This workout here from Fit 'n' Cookies is one of my recent favorites.
Sad/Anxious/Happy/Excited/OhmygoodnessIammovingsoon! That about sums it up.

Over this photo I found last Friday on National Donut Day. I do love food puns, oh yes I do.
